Property:Submission deadline

This property is of the datatype Date and it is being used to provide the submission deadline of an academic event. This means that this is the date at which the main kind of submissions to some event are due. This date is used, e.g., to order events by upcoming deadlines. There are various more specific properties such as Paper deadline and poster deadline that should be used when applicable. The Template:Event can be used to set a (main) submission deadline. If none is given, the paper deadline will be used in its place.

It is a recommended property when describing an academic event and it is not needed for the DOI registration process via DataCite.
