Exploring parallelism and concurrency is an efficient way of sharing interconnected processing and data resources to speed up time critical computation, lower costs of design and production, increase profit, create a better business environment, and improve societal welfare. PDCS is an international conference series that focuses on the design, analysis, implementation, evaluation, and application of parallel and distributed processing architectures, networks, algorithms, software, and systems. The goal of PDCS is to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners from academia, industry and governments around the world to advance the theories and technologies of parallel and distributed computing and systems by sharing their ideas, results, insights, and experiences on these topics. All papers submitted to this conference will be double-blind reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee and related technical committees. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution. PDCS 2008 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conferences on:

  • Software Engineering and Applications (SEA 2008)
  • Intelligent Systems and Control (ISC 2008)
  • Modern Nonlinear Theory (MNT 2008)

and the IASTED International Symposia on:

  • Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (CBB 2008)
