SPARQL Query Federation

The W3C SPARQL working group is defining a new SPARQL 1.1 query language to respect the SPARQL protocol and specify queries against federations of endpoints. To successfully execute real-world queries, it may be necessary to decompose them into simple sub-queries, so that the endpoints will then be capable of executing these sub-queries in a reasonable time.
