The workshop on Electronic Control, Modelling, Measurement and Signals is born from the collaboration between Technical University of Liberec and Paul Sabatier University Toulouse and after Mondragon University joint this consortium. It is largely opened to external papers and provides a high quality forum for scientists and engineers to present their latest research findings. ECMS 2009 is the 9th workshop in the line of bi-annual professional events that started in 1993 as Czech-French meetings, and later transformed into regular international workshops.
Also this year, like the last year, the workshop will be more specifically opened to PhD students who are therefore strongly encouraged to submit their own research works. To this aim, the congress will be organized together with the two French Doctoral Schools EDSYS and GEET and Mondragons one, who cover topics closely related to the ones of the workshop.
ECMS 2009 focuses on several topics which are investigated in both universities: Automatic Control, Robotics, Electrical Drives, Intelligent Materials and Devices, Modelling and Simulations of Processes, Dependability, Signal and Data Processing, Electrical and Acoustical Measurement, Education/Transfer Technologies.

Topics

    * Control Engineering: Theoretical Aspects and Applications in Mechatronics
    * Robotics and Hybrid Systems, Man-Machine Interface
    * Electrical Drives and Power Electronics, EMC
    * Intelligent Materials and Devices: Sensors, Actuators, Transducers, Resonators, MEMS, Characterization Techniques and Control Electronics
    * Processes Modelling and Simulation: Petri Nets, Numerical Linear Algebra, Environmental Processes, Construction Analysis Using the FEM
    * Dependability of Equipments: Reliability, Maintainability, Availability
    * Signal and Data Processing: Speech, Audio, Video, Image
