CALL FOR PAPERS - 1st International ICST conference on No SQL Databases and Social Applications INOSA 2012
Berlin, Germany
6-8 June 2012
http://inosa.icst.org
Don't miss out on the opportunity to network with international researchers and practitioners and discuss the latest research findings and trends in Non SQL Databases and Social Applications at INOSA 2012 an event connected to the European innovation community through EAI endorsement (http://eai.eu/.) We welcome you to the heart of Europe and Berlin for the INOSA confernece, co-located with the IT revolutions conference for better opportunities to share experiences and results!
Confernece Scope: Computer Systems are intertwined with users from its early beginnings. Each software is created for user needs. This process has now reached the private life. The Internet, Web and wireless communication has fundamentally changed our daily communication and how information flows in commercial and private networks. New issues came up with this trend: Non-SQL databases offer better feature for a number of social applications. Semantic systems helps to bridge the gap between words and their meaning. Vocabularies are no longer a scientific problem but means to find people in social networks.
Data mining and inference helps to extract implicit facts. P2P systems are proper answers to an increasing amount of data that shall be exchanged. In 2010, more smart phones than computer are sold worldwide. Mobile devices and context aware systems (e.g. locations based systems) play a major role for social applications. New threats accompany these trends as well, though. Social hacking, lost of privacy, vague or complex copy rights are just one of them.
Topics: Software has entered the private and social life. This conference shall bring together new technical trends, research and applications. We are looking for new technical approaches, ideas, theories and concepts in research but also for new applications. The conference will focus especially but is not limited on the following topics around Non-SQL and social applications:
- Non-SQL Databases
- Mobile Databases
- Semantic Systems (e.g. Topic Maps, RDF/OWL)
- Data Mining in Social Networks
- Social Applications
- Social and Semantic P2P Systems
- Social Engineering
- Location Based and Spatial Systems
- Open Data, Open Knowledge
- Privacy and Security
