SEUS 2009's goal is to bring together researchers from all over the world,
to foster a stimulating and fruitful exchange amongst researchers working on
similar topics, to discuss ideas, exchange field experiences and to find
solutions together to the problems facing software technologies for embedded
and ubiquitous systems.
For inclusion in the workshop program, contributions that present advances
in integrating the fields of embedded computing and ubiquitous systems are
invited. Industrial applications in the emerging field are also encouraged.
Papers can be of a conceptual, theoretical, application-oriented,
standards-driving, innovative design or experimental nature, and should
represent technological or scientific advances.
TOPICs
Suggested topics of interest include (but are not restricted to) the
following:
+ Emerging applications, components and services
    + Emerging infrastructural support
+ Software architectures and programming models
    + Communication system architecture
+ Reports on R&D progress in the field
    + Speciifcation of requirements
    + Emerging tools and trends
+ Emerging standards (or the need for new standards)
+ Practical experiences, particularly from industry
    + Government strategies
PAPER SUBMISSION
Papers must be written in English and 8 pages in limit (including all
text, figures, references and appendices), adhering to the IEEE Conference
format (camera-ready, two-column, Times New Roman 11pt font, letter-size
page). Submission implies the willingness of the senior author to present
his/her paper at the Workshop. Selected papers will be considered for a
journal (yet to be decided).
Papers can be one of three possible types (this should be indicated by the
authors in parentheses as a part of their paper title in the submitted
version):
    (1) Research papers
    (2) Practical experience reports
    (3) Panel position-papers
Authors are requested to submit an electronic version (PDF) of their
manuscripts to:
         seus-2009@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
Questions about the appropriateness of a topic for a submission may be directed to the PC Chairs, also by emailing this address.
