The current situation related to the COVID-19 virus is challenging our lives, both on the professional as well as the private side. While we are all affected by this situation, so are ASME and Turbo Expo. The management of the ExCeL London convention center in London, UK, (the location where Turbo Expo is scheduled to be held) has recently informed ASME that the venue is being used as a field hospital (NHS Nightingale) and will not be vacating the premises until June 26, 2020. As a consequence, Turbo Expo cannot be held as planned. Therefore, we are exploring other value propositions including virtual presentations to bring the strong connection and content of Turbo Expo to you.

If you have already paid your Turbo Expo 2020 registration fee, you will receive a full refund and information will be sent to you at a later date regarding options to register for a virtual event. The Turbo Conference Secretariat will provide refunds as quickly as possible using the same payment method initially used, however the refund process may take four to six weeks. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any transfer fees imposed by your bank. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed. If you have paid by Wire Transfer, we will contact you regarding further information we need from you to process the refund. Be sure to cancel any hotel reservations you may have already made.

If you have any further questions, please email igtiprogram@asme.org.

Regardless, ASME will publish the papers from Turbo Expo 2020 through our usual channels. We are working with the conference organizing committee to finalize the timing of paper publication.

To help ASME determine the feasibility and interest of delivering alternative options for the content of Turbo Expo, we will be sending out a survey. A link to this survey will also be made available here. Your answers to this survey will be instrumental in allowing us to plan a viable solution to bring the content of Turbo Expo 2020, to you.

We will provide updates on this website with options to participate in Turbo Expo 2020 soon. Thank you.
